A pillared assembly hall raised for the silver jubilee of Osman Ali Khan's reign, still used for state functions.

History & Story

Jubilee Hall was raised for the silver jubilee of Mir Osman Ali Khan's reign, 25 years as ruler of Hyderabad state, and designed as a grand reception hall for state events. The pillared facade and formal plan recall Indo-Saracenic civic ambition in the final pre-independence decade of the Nizam's state. The hall continues to be used for government functions and public exhibitions.
