A 14th-century cave temple carved into the granite ramparts of Rachakonda Fort featuring ornate pillars and sculpted Narasimha icons.

History & Story

Rachakonda was the fortified 14th-century mountain citadel of the Recherla Nayaka rulers who patronized Telugu literature and architecture. This cave temple is carved into living granite with pillared mandapas and relief carvings of Lord Narasimha.
