History & Story
Excavated in the 1940s by Ghulam Yazdani under the Nizam's Archaeological Department, Kondapur was a major Satavahana regional capital. The site museum exhibits Roman gold and silver coins, clay bullae, Buddhist chaitya relics, terracotta figurines, and iron tools establishing direct 1st-century trade links with Rome.
