Granite hillocks housing 2,000–3,000-year-old ochre cave paintings alongside medieval Shaivite hero stones and cisterns.

History & Story

The rocky hillocks around Gundlapochampally preserve multiple archaeological layers. Red and white ochre pictographs depicting human figures, deer, and symbolic designs date to the late Megalithic epoch, while surrounding terraces feature medieval temple foundations and hero stones.
