Bella Vista
Also known as: ASCI Campus
A Paigah mansion later used by the seventh Nizam's family, set in terraced gardens above the Husain Sagar. Now the campus of the Administrative Staff College of India.
History & Story
Set in terraced gardens on a hillside above the Hussain Sagar, Bella Vista, 'beautiful view', was built as a Paigah aristocratic mansion, its Italian name reflecting the European cultural aspirations of Hyderabad's nobility. The seventh Nizam's family later used it. The terraced gardens, now somewhat altered, remain part of the Administrative Staff College of India campus that has occupied the site since 1956.
