An octagonal granite and stucco tomb built in 1568 by Amin Khan, high minister under Ibrahim Qutb Shah. It predates Charminar by 23 years.

History & Story

Erected during the reign of Ibrahim Qutb Shah (reigned 1550–1580), this tomb is one of the earliest standing monuments of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. Amin Khan was an aristocratic administrator who built an expansive walled complex complete with an orchard, caravanserai, well, and mosque along the historic trade highway to Bidar. The tomb features fine stucco calligraphy and bulbous dome arches.
